Miss Mary is rarely without a book. Thoughtful, observant, and quietly determined, she believes that curiosity should never be discouraged and that every mind deserves the freedom to grow.

Inspired by Mary Wollstonecraft, the eighteenth-century philosopher and advocate for women's education, she brings a spirit of intellectual independence into Lore’s little circle of philosophers.

Dressed in a richly patterned teal-blue gown, with a delicate lace collar, a tiny satchel, and a bundle of well-loved books, she carries more than stories. She carries questions about freedom, education, and the world we could build if everyone were encouraged to think for themselves.

Among her friends, in The Society of Curious Minds, she is often the one who asks the question no one else thought to ask.

She reminds them that a good society needs more than clever minds and carefully written laws. It needs room for every mind to flourish.
